Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Shocker Hitch gooseneck stem set bolt lock kit. This is going to secure your stem or inner tube and coupler to the outer tube on your trailer so that your inner tube and coupler cannot be removed. The way this works, pretty simple. You've got your lock core there. So you give that a quick twist.

You can pull it out, and then you'll be able to remove that. It shows us our pieces that we have here. So to get this installed, you'll first take out your set bolt, remove that from your outer tube, and then you'll put this piece of rubber up against that outer tube right where that set bolt typically goes. We'll then put this inner piece over top of that, and then the silver washer on top of that. And then you'll pass your set bolt through, get it torqued down and tightened like normal.

And so that it will support your stem or inner tube there, and so that will basically replicate what you currently have on your system. But then you have this outer housing that will slide over top of that to cover up that set bolt. So that set bolt can't be removed, and your coupler taken off your trailer. And then our lock core has a pretty simple function. So when you push it in, it's got that bar that will then prevent it from being removed.

So we can line that up the top there, push that in, give it a little twist, and then remove it. And so this seems kind of flimsy right now, but that's because I don't have that set bolt torqued down, or I actually don't have a set bolt at all. But once you have your set bolt in that inner housing torqued down, that's gonna be a lot more secure for you. You are gonna get these three keys. So it's gonna give you a backup.

Allow you to put it on multiple key chains, that sort of thing. This is going to fit your standard 30,000 pound Shocker Gooseneck Hitches. This is not going to work with the hitches that have a nine inch offset. So it is just gonna work for your standard without that nine inch offset. It is made here in the USA so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. It does have a nice sturdy construction and a black powder coat finish. So I think it's gonna hold up well for a long time, and do a good job for you helping to prevent anyone from removing your coupler from your trailer. So that completes our look for today.
